Jim Dummett

Jim is a member of the VoidZero team and an Oxc core team member, working on high-performance tools for TypeScript written in Rust.VoidZero brings together creators and core contributors behind projects such as Vue, Vite, Jest, Yarn and Oxc. Led by Vite creator Evan You, the team is building a unified JavaScript toolchain designed to replace today’s fragmented and often slow collection of development tools with a faster, more consistent developer experience.

At the heart of this effort is Oxc: an open-source collection of tools including a parser, transformer, resolver, minifier, linter and formatter. Its Rust-based architecture delivers remarkable performance—Oxlint can be 50–100 times faster than ESLint, while Oxfmt aims to combine Prettier compatibility with dramatically faster formatting. Jim helps build the foundations for a new generation of JavaScript and TypeScript tooling.
