What Not to Miss at WebExpo 2026

April 27, 2026

Looking for an event to fill the time before FrontKon arrives this autumn? We’ve put together a selection of the best from this year’s WebExpo.

The WebExpo conference kicks off on May 27 in Prague at the Lucerna Palace and will feature 70 talks covering web development, UX and UI design, marketing, and business.

We’ve gone through the packed conference program and picked out talks you shouldn’t miss. Take a look at our recommendations.

An experimental electronic artist will headline our program with a keynote that will blur the line between programmer and performer. She will wield Strudel, a live-coding music environment, to construct high-energy electronic pop in real-time. So it’s going to be a banger right from the start.

A designer, creative director, and a big name in the UX scene. In this talk, he’ll advocate for designers to rediscover their creative instincts: to embrace risk and create memorable, emotion-evoking design. Where do we sign?

A senior engineer & vibe code restoration specialist will invite you to embrace the chaos in JavaScript: weird by design and we love it. He will catalogue the strangest anomalies and most hilarious quirks of the language we all love to hate. We’re really looking forward to it!

A frontend developer will spotlight the latest standards from the W3C and will dissect the new customisable select element.

Christine teaches UI design, Figma and code for UI designers. In her talk, we will look at layout from both angles: Figma and then CSS Grid, Flexbox, and Container Queries from the code side. We’re curious whether there will be more developers or designers in the room.

  • Recording a new episode of FrontKec

Just like last year, we’ll be recording a special episode of the FrontKec podcast at WebExpo. Come by and see us in the small cinema hall at Lucerna. Martin Michálek and Robin Pokorný will be looking forward to you.

  • Highlight dev talks recommended by the organizers

These eight sessions will help you deploy better code and optimise your career stack this spring.

What else is waiting for you?

The program in the Marble Hall will be hosted by Tomáš Kout and Adina Fox. What does Tom recommend?

“I’m looking forward to Baru Obračajová’s talk, which focuses on the intersection of web technologies and law. I’ll also check out Irena Zatloukalová, who regularly attends Frontendist meetups and the FrontKon conference. Her soft-skill topics always bring valuable insights into improving team collaboration. And every year, Riki Fridrich’s Discomfort Zone is worth a visit. He invites interesting guests, so it’s always entertaining.”

See you at WebExpo in Prague this May!
